Welcome back to Yoga for Leadership™. 🌱
When you step into something bigger, what do you leave behind?
Welcome back to your weekly leadership practice.
A moment to pause, breathe, and return to center.
We’re in Week 3 of our Opening with Spring series. 🌸
A practice of expanding into what’s next, without losing yourself along the way.
This week: reaching forward while staying rooted.
🏔️ Reverse Warrior (Viparita Virabhadrasana)
Leadership Practice: Drawing on What Grounds You
One of my favorite poses! In the photo, this is me practicing Reverse Warrior during a hike in the amazing Andes, Argentina. The vast, open landscape inspires and grounds us at the same time.

In Reverse Warrior, your legs are in a strong lunge.Your foundation holds you steady.
One arm reaches up. The other anchors down. You open, extending forward while drawing strength from behind.
The reach only works because of the grounding.
And yet, in leadership, we often do the opposite.
We step into a new role or challenge and think we need to leave ourselves behind. Be someone new. Start from scratch.
So we disconnect from what grounded us in the first place.
But growth doesn’t come from disconnection. It comes from extension.
Spring doesn’t abandon winter. It grows from it.
Reverse Warrior shows us what sustainable growth looks like.
Expand without losing your base.
Reach without disconnecting from who you are.
Let what grounds you be the source of your next level.
🌱 Leadership Practice
Where are you stretching into something new right now?
As you step into who you’re becoming, also ask:
“What do I already have that I haven’t fully used?”
“What strength from my past is ready to fuel my next move?”
💫 Ask yourself
What part of me is strong enough to carry me forward, if I trust it?
One breath.
One pose.
One practice at a time.
