How far can you reach... without losing your ground?

Welcome back to your weekly leadership practice. A moment to pause, breathe, and return to center.

We're in Week 5 of 8 in our 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 series. 🌸 A practice of expanding into what's next, without losing yourself along the way.

This week: 𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝.

Standing Splits is a pose of extension.

One foot stays grounded. Rooted. Steady. The other leg lifts, reaching higher, stretching upward into space.

Your reach is only as strong as your foundation.

Leadership often sits right here.

You're holding something steady while being asked to reach further. More scope. More visibility. More possibility.

The instinct can go either way. Stay grounded and play it safe. Or reach, and risk losing your footing.

But it's not either/or. It's "because."

I can reach higher because I'm more grounded.

The tallest growth happens when roots are deep. Spring doesn't rush upward. It builds from what's already grounded.

I see this with leaders stepping into bigger roles.

They worry that reaching higher means leaving behind what made them credible. Or they click into performance mode without realizing they've lost their grounding.

But the truth is the same: Your foundation is what makes the reach possible.

This week, notice where you're reaching toward something bigger. What is asking to stretch?

At the same time, stay connected to what grounds you. What roots are holding you steady as you reach?

Don't abandon your foundation to reach higher.

One breath.

One pose.

One practice at a time.
