Welcome to Week 2 of Yoga for Leadership™.
🌱 This is your calm & centered leadership series where I share one yoga pose each week for you to integrate into your leadership practice.
Check out Week 1 if you’ve missed it.
🏔️ Week 2: Warrior II (Virabhadrasana II): Lead with Steady Courage
Whenever I extend my stance for Warrior II, I feel the ground strongly beneath my widely-spaced feet.
I stretch my arms apart, heart open, gaze focused yet gentle as I look ahead and take a deep inhale.
I can feel the vibration along my limbs to my outstretched finger tips, while my legs provide the strong foundation.
I feel the subtle energy running through my body, where strength and stillness coexist.
It is not about charging forward or holding back.
It is about holding steady. Expansive on top, grounded beneath.
Leadership often calls for this same stance.
To stay rooted in your principles while extending yourself into possibility.
To keep your gaze focused yet your heart open.
To meet tension not with force but with calm strength.
🌱 Leadership Practice:
Before your next high-stakes moment, pause and notice your stance. Your leadership stance, that is.
Where are you grounded?
Where can you breathe and expand?
How might steady courage serve you better than force?
💫 Invitation:
In a world that rewards speed and quick reactions, what would it look like to lead, like a warrior, with grounded grace?
