Welcome to Week 3 of Yoga for Leadership™.

🌱 This is your calm and centered leadership series where I share one yoga pose each week for you to integrate into your leadership practice.

If you have been following, we have moved from

🏔️ Mountain Pose (Tadasana) – grounding in what matters

⚔️ Warrior II (Virabhadrasana II) – leading with steady courage

and now to our third pose:

🌳 Tree Pose (Vrksasana): Balance with Calm Focus

Is it just me, or do some days truly feel like we are trying to balance on one leg while reaching for the sky all at once? 🙂

Balance poses have taught me more about leadership than I expected.

There are days when I can stand tall and steady, and other days when I tip over again and again, no matter how much I focus.

Tree Pose reminds me that being “off balance” is not failure; it is feedback.

It is simply information about the day, the moment, or the energy I bring to it.

Some days are steady; others are wobbly. Both are part of the practice.

What yoga taught me, and what leadership continues to reinforce, is not to fight the wobble, overcorrect, or judge myself for it.

Just notice, breathe, and return to center.

Because breath literally fuels balance.

In those moments when I am teetering, one slow inhale fills and expands through the body and somehow steadies everything.

Leadership works the same way.

When the ground feels uneven, our breath and our pause help us reset and re-center.

🌱 Leadership Practice:

When your day feels off balance, pause for one conscious breath.

Feel your feet on the floor.

Notice what grounds you and what pulls you off center.

Return to your breath before returning to action.

💫 Invitation:

What feels wobbly today, and what helps you stay steady in motion?
